_{"I'm here to protect you~" I assured her as I placed a hand on her shoulder, expressing the genuinity of my chivalry.
Maneiah was quiet, indifferent like she always was. Though, what I didn't expect was her to suddenly turn and put a hand on my chestplate. She pressed against it, and I was sure as hell surprised that it had enough force to guide me back against the tree behind me. "What if I do not want to be protected?" She asked with the same blank expression. I looked down at her, confusion crossing my face as my eyes met hers before she took her hand away. "Nevermind. Like you would ever be able to comprehe-"
I swiftly grabbed her wrist and pulled her back, feeling oddly embarrassed. "I wanna comprehend."
She looked up at me once more and before I knew it she started to rise onto her tippytoes, leaning close to my mouth. I...I-I could feel her breath against my lips as she sighed, despite her expression having remained the same. "I make my own decisions. I would not do anything if I could not handle the consequences." There was a moment of hesitation, and I was sure by now my confusion and embarrassed was so damn open that it could be comical, even to someone like her.
You'd almost miss it, I don't doubt I would have if she wouldn't have been so...c-close, but...there was a hint, a faint hint of a smile before she gathered her robes and turned away from me, walking ahead on our trail. I had to take what it felt like a solid millennia before I could feel my brain ticking over again and I hurried after her, "W-Wait!" I called out to her, trying my damn hardest not to trip over my feet before I could catch up.
 J-Jeez. This didn't go according to plan...at all.}

Weeeellp, a few months prior to this gift we had wanted to find something new to do together, an interactive game of some sort, and deary was basically like, "Hey, how about we try this one or something?" for fun and so, we gave it a try XDD..little did we know that these two would develop so quickly and just..uwu <333
